Arroyo Valley University
Arroyo Valley University is a dynamic program tailored for the broader student body in grades 9-12. This inclusive initiative welcomes students with a minimum 2.0 GPA and a record of positive attendance. The program's flexible structure empowers students to tailor their educational journey, offering them the liberty to select courses that align with their personal interests or career aspirations.
These courses are available both during and after regular school hours, ensuring accessibility for every student.
A cornerstone of this program is the mandatory course "SDEV 102: Pathways for College and Life Success," designed specifically for newcomers to AV University. Adding to this, the program incorporates a unique approach where each grade level is entitled to enroll in one carefully chosen dual enrollment course per semester, facilitating an integrated educational experience that bridges high school and college learning.
The curriculum spans a wide spectrum, offering both prescribed and optional subjects. This design allows students not only to earn college credits but also to pursue potential industry certifications or program certificates, paving the way for a multitude of career opportunities.
To bolster this ambitious program, students are supported by the standard services provided by both the high school and the partnering community college.
Importantly, this comprehensive educational experience is offered at no cost to the students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to these valuable learning opportunities.
